In response to the hot and humid climate, the classrooms contemplate passive systems and energy efficient materials to counteract the extreme conditions. Also the intervention maximizes natural shadow preserving existing trees and making them integral design elements. The community was involved in designing and building landscape elements generating opportunities for outdoor recreation and social interaction.
