The Rurrenabaque Urban Agenda is a UN-Habitat initiative, leaded by the local government to develop a strategic urban plan with the participation of the most relevant community stakeholders. The tool reflects on long term sustainable development for an emerging small city located in the Bolivian Amazon, with emphasis in urban planning, tourism development, ethnic equality, natural conservation, environmental risk management and a local economic development based in Amazonian products. Also, the instrument advocates for good urban practices in order to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals and implement the New Urban Agenda.
