The Interactive Station for Food Security Advocacy is a flexible and transportable installation designed to promote healthy eating habits, biodiversity awareness, and food security through playful and participatory experiences. Developed as part of the campaign “Diversidad es Vida,” the project explores how adaptable ephemeral architecture can support public engagement and educational advocacy in diverse urban contexts.
The design process emerged from collaborative co-creation workshops that identified the key messages, spatial qualities, and interactive experiences the installation should communicate. The result was a modular and reconfigurable structure capable of adapting to different sites and event formats while encouraging sensory learning through games, sound, textures, and collective activities related to nutrition and biodiversity.
The installation has been implemented in public spaces, local fairs, conventions, festivals, and advocacy events, creating accessible and engaging environments for learning and social interaction. By combining design, education, and community participation, the project demonstrates how small-scale temporary interventions can strengthen public awareness and promote healthier relationships with food and the environment.
